Home Energy Grants in 2026: Heat Pumps, Insulation and Council Schemes

The Boiler Upgrade Scheme gives £7,500 off a heat pump (or £9,000 for some off-gas-grid homes until 31 March 2027), £2,500 for air-to-air heat pumps and £5,000 for biomass boilers in England and Wales, claimed by an MCS certified installer. The Great British Insulation Scheme ended on 31 March 2026. ECO4, run through energy suppliers, has been extended to 31 December 2026. Low-income households in homes below EPC band C can ask their council about the Warm Homes: Local Grant.
